Setting up Categories

Introduction

Product Categories organise your Products into manageable divisions. Not only does this make managing your store easier, but it also provides customers with a variety of ways to navigate and review your products.

Creating a Product Category

 

  1. Open Products > Categories from the WordPress Administration
  2. Fill in the Product Category details
  3. Click Add Category to save changes

The Name field is the minimum requirement for adding a new Product Category.

Optionally, you can provide additional Category details including:

  • Category Description
  • Category Parent/Children (e.g. Produce > Fruit > Apples)
  • Category Image
  • Target Markets per Category
  • Layouts per Category (e.g. Default, list or grid)
