Setting up the Store Settings : Taxes Tab

Enable Tax – In order for taxes to start to function, this box needs to be checked.

Product Prices – Products can be taxed inclusively or exclusively. Here’s an example.

Exclusive tax – Tax is added to the cost of items. For example : a product cost $10 and tax is 10%. The price that the customer sees is $11 (Product = $10 and tax = $1).

Inclusive tax – Tax is added within the cost of the items. For example when a product cost $11 and tax is 10%. The price that customer sees is $11 ( Product = $10 and tax is $1 ).

Product Specific Tax – Should there be a need of additional tax for specific products, you would need to insert the special tax of those specific product and choose if the tax should be added or replaced the global tax.

Add per product tax – A product cost $10, global tax is 10%, product specific tax is 20%. Sale will beĀ $13

Replace per product tax – A product cost $10, global tax is 10%, product specific tax is 20%. Sale will be $11

Tax Logic – This option determines when tax will be applied.
